How do I adjust a Extra Small to Medium K9 cart?
Adjustment Directions for XS to Med K-9 Cart:
- 1. When properly fitted, the side bar should be parallel to the ground.
2. The length bar should rest just behind the arm pit or axilla.
3. The shoulder strap, which is shorter than the chest strap, should be snug.
4. The chest strap should barely touch the body.
5. If the cart is not level, adjust the rear wheel height, shoulder, and chest strap. A properly adjusted cart should not shift weight to the shoulders.

WRONG adjustment. Side bar is too short and not level to ground. Solution: lengthen side bar and shorten shoulder strap.

CORRECT adjustment:

If the K-9 Cart is not properly adjusted, it can cause unnecessary strain on the animal. Cart owners can send video and photos of the animal in the cart. Dr. Parkes offers free assistance those customers who aren't able to come in for a fitting, so that every animal can get the best fit possible!
