SOLD: Walkin' Wheels with 4.5" wheels

Location: Massachusetts
Original Purchase Price (first owner): $350
I purchased it used for: $300
Asking: $250

Walkin' Wheels complete and in excellent shape. The original owner said he had gotten it too late to help his dog, so it was in new condition when I got it. Our corgi used it for two months before his condition deteriorated too much to continue.

The Walkin' Wheels design is highly adjustable and accommodates dogs 20 - 180 lbs. It folds flat when not in use. This one has wheels for a short-legged dog, but you can order larger ones if needed, at:
http://walkinwheels.com/the-dog-wheelch ... parts.html
New wheels will snap in with no tools required.

Items included (can be seen at http://walkinwheels.com/the-dog-wheelch ... chair.html):
  • adjustable frame and wheels, with two sizes of "width connectors" and "length extenders" to cover a broad range of dog sizes
  • leg rings (harness to support the rear legs)
  • front harness
  • belly belt (provides additional back support if needed)
  • stirrups (to hold up rear legs that would otherwise drag)
  • tote bag (to carry folded cart)
  • "handles" (straps for manually supporting the dog when he/she is wearing the leg rings, but is not in the cart)
  • manual and instructional DVD

If I can make this work for my German Shepherd I would like to buy this. He will be 14 but still is mentally sharp, just has spinal lesions that make it so he can't tell where his hind feet are. Look forward to hearing from you.

Hi holliek9,

Ah, 14 years with a German Shepherd -- that's wonderful.

Here's what I suggest-- Make the groin-to-floor measurement like in this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f7wnhQdorMc&t=3m15s
Then on during work hours on Monday, open the Walkin' Wheels part order page:
http://walkinwheels.com/the-dog-wheelch ... parts.html
and call them at 888-811-7387. I think that they will be able to recommend the proper wheel kit for you. That way you will know the total you would need to spend on the cart.

You're the first responder to my ad, so you have first dibs. I will wait for you to get back to me.

I'm new at bulletin boards-- Is there a way for me to message to you directly?

hi there

I have two corgi, the oldest one was ran over by a car back when he was about 1.5, we had him put back together and he's still very alive except his back legs. Costed a lot of money to save his life, but he is our child.
I was trying to build him one but failed. And have been looking for all types of wheelchair, but they're very expensive.

He's 12 now but going death and could hardly get up or stand. But crawls to get around. I had to put down carpet in our kitchen to let him get a grip to crawl around to eat.

Would you be able to sell me yours for less than $200?

Thank you.

Hi Craigaro,

Please let me know if you still have it for sale, I would like to buy the wheelchair asap, my corgi rear foot been bleeding from the dragging around for weeks now and since these past few days, he's been just sitting in one spot, I need to find a wheelchair asap. If you already sold it, then I'll look elsewhere.

Thank You.

Mark
